Interior Decorator
My name is Fedjine and I am the founder and interior decorator at StudioFMV. My goal as a decorator is to help re-define affordability and value by helping others imagine their spaces differently. I specialize in personal decor and visualization for small spaces. I style spaces for the whole person, including personality, fears, ambitions, habits, budgets, and mindsets. I decorate to boldly make and take up space.
My Story
As the first-born to a single Haitian mother, I've learned so much about the idea of home and making my space my own. Growing up in a small two bedroom apartment, my mom assigned our apartment the utmost value, not allowing our socio-economic status to define our home or diminish our sense of self-worth. From my college dorm-room to my first apartment, I began decorating to reclaim value in spaces people typically deem not worthy of an investment.
After years of browsing affordable decor at Ross, HomeGoods, Burlington, etc., I've decided to take my knowledge on affordable decor shopping, design principles and concepts, and space planning to create a business that centers holistic wellness and visualization in the decorating process. This is more than a color palette and some amazon orders to me. It's a chance to use decor to write a love letter. I want to create decor visualizations that meet you where you are in your journey to finding yourself. I want to embody your visions and passions into the spaces you frequent.
